Health Insurance
As health insurance rates continue to escalate, many fishing families are faced with the difficult decision of whether or not they can afford coverage for their families. In the past, the MLA has been able to provide members with a discounted group policy. Current state law does not allow the MLA to offer a group insurance program for our members. While the government seeks a permanent solution to this crisis, the Maine Lobstermen’s Association works with Atlantic Insurance & Benefits to offer a variety of health insurance plans to MLA members. Atlantic Insurance has a lot of experience working with fishermen and will work with you to determine how to get the most practical and affordable coverage for you and your family.
